The purchase increases Magna's list of men's sophisticate titles to more than 60, including Swank, Genesis, Velvet, Just 18, Gent and Leg World, among others.
"We are obviously pleased to acquire these major titles," Magna editorial director Dan Davis said. "We know they are respected by both consumers and the industry. We look forward to not only continuing the quality of these publications, but also improving on various aspects in both the print and electronic mediums. We look forward to working with the industry in achieving these goals."
Gallery began publishing in 1972 and is known for its "Girl Next Door" amateur model contest, which has launched the careers of magazine models and adult film stars, including Stacy Valentine, who was an Oklahoma housewife when she appeared in the magazine.
Fox has been published since 1983 and has featured various adult film stars in its masthead, including Jill Kelly and the late Anna Malle.
Lollypops, launched in 2000 as a sister publication to Fox, features models between the ages of 18 and 20.
The first issues of the magazines under the new ownership will be on newsstands in July, distributed by Curtis Circulation Company. The websites for the magazines, including GirlNextDoor.com, will be integrated into the SwankDollars.com affiliate program.
