“I saw them at a showcase at South by Southwest in March, and I was thoroughly impressed,” Peter Reynolds, vice president of sales and marketing for Adam & Eve Pictures, told XBIZ. “Their music is kind of a rockabilly, slightly Southern bar-band style. I thought their music would be perfect for 'Rollerdollz.'”
The Mother Truckers are a longtime fixture on the Austin music scene, and were voted “Best Roots Rock Group” of 2006 by the Austin Chronicle.
To continue the cross-promotion between "Rollerdollz" and the band, director James Avalon, Adam & Eve contract performers Kayden Kross and Bree Olson and Zero Tolerance contract performers Alektra Blue and Courtney Cummz are going to Austin in late May to shoot soft- and hardcore music videos for two songs from the band's new album, "Let's All Go to Bed." The shoot, set to take place at Austin's Continental Club, also will involve professional roller skaters from a local roller derby club.
“Adam & Eve has a number of things planned to promote this exciting collaboration,” Reynolds said. “From music festivals to R-rated music videos, we feel this is the ultimate crossover for both parties.”
"Rollerdollz" is scheduled for release Sept. 9.
