The lawsuit centered around a dispute over the domain name HotAdri.com. Meints had originally filed a lawsuit in Nebraska, asking a federal judge to order Harrington to give up the domain HotAdri.com.
Meints alleged in her suit that Harrington's company, MelTech, bought the domain from Octogy Media Partners without Meints' consent, but Harrington and her husband, MelTech Vice President Shane Harrington, said they bought the domain from a former associate of Meints'.
"We bought it from Adri's ex-photo guy," she said. "He offered it to her at the end of January, but she never returned his message, so he waited a month, contacted us and asked us if we wanted to buy it."
Lincoln, Neb.-based attorney Jerrod Jaeger represents the Harringtons, and although he wouldn't comment on the specifics of the negotiations, he told XBIZ that he and his clients were "hoping for an amicable resolution."
Plaintiff's attorney K.C. Engdahl confirmed that both parties are in negotiations to make an amicable settlement.
Meints' original lawsuit sought an injunction that would return her the domain name HotAdri.com, as well as damages ranging between $10,000 and $100,000.
In a related suit, MelTech sued Meints on a number of claims, including breach of contract. Meints used to shoot regular content for the site SweetAdri.com, a site currently under the MelissaMoney.com affiliate program.
Shane Harrington said that Meints receives no money from SweetAdri.com because she didn't fulfill the obligations required in her original contract with the company, which included shooting content and interacting with the site's fans via email.
The breach of contract suit would also end as a part of the two parties' current negotiations, Harrington said, although Jaeger said that any type of new employment arrangement would not be brokered as a part of the settlement that would bring an end to Meints' current lawsuit.
Harrington said that MelTech offered to pay Meints' attorney's fees. He also said that they've offered to bring her back into the Melissa Midwest fold. He said that Meints could work as an exclusive model for his company at $500 per photo set, which would appear on SweetAdri.com. Meints would also be able to pursue work in print publications but not for other websites.
The domain HotAdri.com currently forwards to TeensLikeItBig.com, a site in the Brazzers affiliate network.
Meints currently has one other web presence: OfficialAdri.com, which is promoted under the SexStuffSells.com affiliate program.
Meints was not available for comment as of post time.
