The stalwart of the Italian adult film industry has blanketed the nation's capital city with images of her rear end in a bid to capture a seat on the city council.
Like former California gubernatorial candidate Mary Carey, D'Abbraccio would help out her nation's adult industry if elected. Among Carey's proposed initiatives were plans to tax breast implants and fight federal prosecution of the adult industry.
D'Abbraccio's platform includes the addition of a red-light district — complete with strip clubs, erotic dance clubs and adult bookstores — located within miles of Vatican City.
"It would be something cute, clean — nothing to do with prostitution," D'Abbraccio said.
D'Abbraccio's credits include "The Kiss of the Cobra" and "Paolina Borghese, Imperial Nymphomaniac."
Italians will vote on Sunday and Monday. D'Abbraccio is running as a candidate of the Socialist Party.
"People don't want to see these politicians' faces anymore," she told Reuters, later adding, "I am the derriere of the Socialist party."
