“We can no longer operate HawgsCash in its current state, and to be compliant would not be possible in the month time frame the government has given us,” webmaster BossHawg wrote in a statement to affiliates.
BossHawg told XBiz, “It basically came down to having to redo every tour and banner in the program, so it would almost be like starting a program from scratch in 30 days. [That’s] almost impossible to do.”
He said the company instead decided to focus its efforts on bringing its FreeEzineBucks and FreeTicketCash programs into compliance.
BossHawg also told XBiz that his company has several exclusive-content paysites in the works but added that he cannot disclose details at this time.
HawgsCash has recommended that affiliates immediately remove all free content and banners it has distributed, stating that implied licenses on the material will be rescinded on June 20.
The company has made an agreement with AdultPlayersClub.com to create accounts for all affected affiliates and will redirect affiliate traffic to the account and a related AdultPlayersClub site.
“All you old links will work and go to a corresponding site in APC that will credit you with the signups,” BossHawg said in his statement.
Regarding the decision to send affiliates to AdultPlayersClub, BossHawg told XBiz, “ Scott, who runs [AdultPlayersClub] is a friend, and we have complete trust in him to treat our webmasters right.”
Webmasters who already have an AdultPlayersClub account will be assigned a new subaccount so that they can receive all payouts in one check.
