Production company Grupo Sexxxy chose the winning film from the 58th International Film Festival in Berlin as the subject for its latest adult spoof.
The original movie is called "The Elite Squad," and besides its triumph in Berlin, some critics in the Brazilian film industry speculate that director Jose Padilha may capture a Best Foreign Film Oscar for his country next year.
The movie follows a police captain in Rio de Janeiro as he tries to clean up a neighborhood run by drug dealers in time for a visit to his city from the Pope.
Somehow this inspired Grupo Sexxxy's new release "Foda de Elite," or "Fuck of the Elite."
Booble.com Founder "Booble" Bob Smith told XBIZ he knows a thing or two about spoofing mainstream properties.
"I spoofed a search engine, after all," he said, adding that even though highbrow spoofs like Digital Playground's "Pirates" work well, he generally prefers for adult companies to use mainstream comedies as fodder.
"In most porn plots, it's kind of hard to maintain the suspension of disbelief," he said. "It's hard to keep the sex and "fuck me" dialogue from derailing the story."
