“We greatly appreciate XTube.com’s financial support and that they will be labeling their sites with the Restricted to Adults (RTA) website label,” said ASACP CEO Joan Irvine. “Their sponsorship helps fund the ongoing effort of ASACP’s child pornography reporting hotline.”
According to XTube.com, the site has over four million members — a fact that Irvine said makes XTube’s adoption of the RTA label particularly noteworthy.
“Xtube.com’s use of RTA will make an important difference in helping parents to prevent their child from viewing age-inappropriate images and, considering their large number of members and content, this impact will be significant,” Irvine said.
XTube.com’s Kurtis Potec said that the company is glad to have the opportunity to contribute support to ASACP’s worthy cause.
“XTube.com is proud to announce that it’s now joining forces with ASACP to help fight the war against child pornography,” Potec said. “We are looking forward to working together to make a difference.”
This has been an active year already for ASACP, both in terms of its participation in major Internet-related policy conferences — like the Congressional Internet Caucus Advisory Committee’s State of the Net Conference in January — and with respect to picking up additional sponsors.
Other recently announced ASACP sponsorships include Fla$hCa$h coming onboard as a Corporate Sponsor, Eddie's Kids joining as a Title Sponsor and Skin Video signing on as a Corporate Sponsor.
