Slated for a July release, the first six board games include "Down 'N' Dirty," "Nice or Nasty," "Bluff or Buff," "Libido," "The Orgasmic Game for Couples and Cajones" and "The Strategy Game That Takes Balls."
Founded in 1994 by Susan Colvin, Cal Exotics is often credited with bringing a woman's touch to the sex toy industry. According to Colvin, this is not the first time her company has considered entering the board game market, but she had been waiting for an opportunity to offer consumers a premium gaming product.
"We feel that we've now done that," Colvin said, referring to Cal Exotics' deal with Silver Summit Games.
"Silver Summit is recognized as the finest designer of adult board games," Al Bloom, director of marketing for Cal Exotics, said. "So it just makes sense that we join forces and enter into this genre of adult novelties in a big way."
Silver Summit's flagship product is adult game "Sex Drive" in which players are quizzed on their sexual know-how, with a goal of obtaining a Sex Driver's License.
Cal Exotics joins forces with other adult companies venturing into the mainstream retail market including Jill Kelly Productions, which recently launched a branded line of apparel and accessories, and Vivid Entertainment and its line of branded snowboards, condoms, tire rims, jeans, shoes and cosmetics.
