The wXw presents professional wrestling matches in clubs and discothèques across the Northrhine-Westphalia area of Germany, and puts on about 30 events a year.
The matches are formatted in a traditional boxing ring format, similar to masked wrestlers popular in Latin American countries.
Independent wrestlers from around the globe compete in wXw matches, including wrestlers from Japan’s Puroresu professional wrestling association.
“Especially for us, as a fairly young company with an edge-target group, the collaboration with an established and powerful partner such as Hustler is a step forward,” wXw managing partner Tassilo Jung said.
The first wXw event sponsored by Hustler Europe will be the 16 Carat Gold tournament, to be held in Essen, Germany, from March 7-9. Thirty wrestlers from Germany, USA, Japan and the Netherlands will compete.
“I am very pleased we found an exceptionally interesting partner with the wXw. We are very keen to see the synergy of presenting the Hustler brand in a completely new environment and what will happen,” Hustler Europe managing director Helen Clyne said. “Such a unique partnership has not existed in Europe. I’m confident that it will become a successful collaboration. Above all, I learned what kind of incredible loyalty the wXw fans have, and it’s such a live atmosphere that takes place.”
In addition to sponsorship, Hustler Girls will appear at various wXw events as card girls and to cross-promote Hustler and wXw at various events.
“I am proud that this partnership puts Hustler in a special position and sets new standards,” Hustler Europe CEO Jeff Hawkins said. “It proves, once more, the importance of the Hustler brand. We are not only accepted as a serious partner, but also warmly welcomed. Hustler is one of the world's largest companies in adult entertainment, built on the philosophy and vision of its founder Larry Flynt. As a future-oriented company, Hustler has emerged as a lifestyle brand and offers modern products for open-minded adults.”
