Less than a month after its foray into cosmetics, the adult company is set to debut its most recent branding venture at Miami’s Dub Super Series Car Show on Sunday, June 12, with contract performer Mercedez in attendance.
“Vivid is such a strong brand that we wanted to be party to a partnership with them,” MZL President Matt Zuber told XBiz. “Porn has gone so mainstream in recent years that we think the auto industry and the porn industry are a great fit.”
Zuber said that “a mutual friend” brokered the deal between Vivid and MZL, adding that spokesmodels have always been a fixture at car shows, so Mercedez’ appearance should be a big draw to the annual show, which last year attracted approximately 20,000 people.
The Vivid wheels will be available in aftermarket car shops in September in two designs for three sizes of rims.
Vivid also will be sponsoring a car in the Grand American Rolex Sports Car Series this weekend. Other recent porn/racing crossovers are Sex Z Pictures’ recent purchase of a car and the racing sponsorship of adult attorney Paul Cambria.
The automotive specialty equipment market is considered to have annual revenue comparable to popular estimates of adult entertainment: about $10 billion.
"People who purchase quality wheels look first for a great design and next for branding that reflects high quality," Zuber said. " Vivid Wheels are just the beginning of a line of Vivid branded auto accessories that MZL will produce.”
Zuber said that MZL has no immediate plans to offer this branding service to other mainstream or adult companies.
