Despite a deal struck in 2005 with National A-1 to distribute Howard’s “Babylon Pink” and “Neon Nights” on DVD, the director/producer has decided that he will release the next 12 titles from his historic catalog online, exclusively through HotMovies.
"The relationship between HotMovies.com and Command Cinema has been so successful that I have decided to forgo immediate DVD rerelease on the next round of movies," Howard said.
Currently available on HotMovies is Howard’s 1985 feature “Dangerous Stuff,” starring classic performers Angel, Renee Summers, Robin Everett, Tiffany Clark, Taija Rae and Eric Edwards.
Starting March 1, the HotMovies network release “Babylon Pink 2,” the sequel to the original. Both “Pink” movies were directed by Henri Pachard.
Prior to the HotMovies deal, many of Howard’s titles have never been seen on DVD and have been unavailable for several years.
"This really is a treasure trove of classics that was lost to the consuming public until now," said HotMovies James Cybert. "So many fans of classic adult cinema have longed to revisit these titles, which simply weren't available anywhere. It is a great pleasure for us to bring these quality movies back to the forefront."
Howard admitted that he has been cautious in partnering with any companies for distribution of his material.
"HotMovies earned my trust," Howard said. "They do what they say they are going to do. I like to be involved in the process to some degree and they have been willing to work closely with me every step of the way."
