Carey was under contract to Kick Ass Pictures from 2003-4. Her main name recognition came from her 2003 campaign for California governor, which was conceived and marketed by Kick Ass Pictures owner Mark Kulkis.
“The movie is a takeoff on 'Kill Bill,'" Kulkis told XBIZ. "The working title was 'Kill Mary,' but she isn't under contract any more and I didn't want it to seem like there were bad vibes, so we changed it. Mary and I still have a good relationship."
The video is being released now to capitalize on Carey's recent exposure on VH-1's "Celebrity Rehab" show, Kulkis told XBIZ.
“Totally Mary: A Tale of Raunchy Sex and Revenge” was directed by Andre Madness and stars Carey, Marie Luv, Jassie and Sunshine, with Steven St. Croix, Tony Tedeschi, Vince Vega, Seth Dickens. Alex Rox and Vic Sinister. Adult industry publicist Wayne Hentai also appears in a non-sex role.
