Adult starlets Jenny Hendrix, Shayla Laveaux, Stephanie Swift, Gianna Michaels and Brooke Haven are just some of the girls representing the U.S., and Hendrix told XBIZ that the mainstream media has given them a surprising amount of press.
"The press you can get here is crazy because they let us go on TV and do the magazines," Hendrix said. "We went on mainstream TV here and we are on the front page of the newspaper."
To kick off the show, Hendrix, Swift and Laveaux appeared on Spanish media network Televisa and took part in a press conference before heading to several scheduled photo shoots for Spanish publications such as Maxim en Espanol.
Laveaux told XBIZ that The Sex & Entertainment Show is "AEE times 10," and has a greater sex focus than U.S. shows. She said there are gay and transexual performers there, and similar to European shows, there are live sex performances.
Hendrix said vendors from around the world have shown up to display their new products and services. The show's website says swinger clubs, sex toy manufacturers and lingerie designers are some of the companies who have set up for this year's show.
Last year, the website says, more then 120 vendors had booths there, and top-name performers including Tommy Gunn, Eva Angelina and Ron Jeremy attended.
