“It was my effort to create the best movie I could as the premiere release of my own manufacturing company, Evil Angel,” Stagliano said. “In ‘Dance Fire,’ I work with original music, dance and higher budget production values, all of which I would develop throughout my directing career with movies like ‘Buda,’ ‘Face Dance’ and especially ‘Fashionistas’ and later, my Las Vegas Fashionistas show.”
Stagliano said that the movie was released before he even came up with the idea for his Buttman persona and that he thought Face Dance’s storyline was an “essential element heightening the erotic tension.”
Art did imitate life for Stagliano in this release — he was a Chippendale’s dancer prior to forming Evil Angel.
Evil Angel publicist Karen Stagliano told XBIZ that the company is in the process of transferring its classic titles onto DVD and has done so with numerous releases from the early 1990s. The next classic release from Stagliano is 1989’s “Mystic Pieces.”
“Dance Fire” stars Trinity Loren, Nina DePonca, Champagne, Stephanie Rage, Brandy Alexandre, Kathleen Jentry, Rod Garretto, Rick Daniels and John Stagliano.
