Based on TV dating shows like “Blind Date” and “The 5th Wheel,” the “Blind Sex Date” series mimics the mainstream programs with pop-up captions and high-end settings such as Hustler Hollywood, Tempo restaurant, Greenleaf Cafe and La Finestra.
Both parties are informed of the nature of the filming, and told that the cameras will continue to roll, no matter how intimate the date becomes.
The fourth installment features five scenes with couples who have never met before. Bishop sets the mood by keeping the contestants in separate cars and asks them about their sexual experiences to build the tension.
“This is our big reality series,” Smash Pictures Vice President Stuart Wall told XBIZ. “‘Blind Sex Date’ combines two great elements to great effect — comedy and reality. In this edition, only one of the five dates doesn’t work out. We even used some of the crew from ‘Blind Date.’”
Wall said that fan feedback prompted the studio to release the fourth edition and the movie’s casting call received applicants from Los Angeles, San Diego, Las Vegas and northern California.
“Blind Sex Date 4” releases in March. To order, call Stuart Wall at (866) 772-7219 ext. 104, or email stuart@smashpictures.com.
