If all goes according to plan for the new site, people may soon be asking each other "Is that an iPod in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?"
According to its website, iPinkVisual is "bringing these videos to your iPhone or iPod Touch so that you can take them anywhere – your office, the bathroom, or the supply closet. Wherever you go, your porn goes with you."
"When we compiled the video for iPinkVisual, we realized that it was the first and largest free adult video library tailored for iPhone/iTouch viewing," Ted Blanston, Pink Visual's video and emerging tech director, said. "iPinkVisual is geared toward customer experience; it's multi-platform, the video is high quality, and, best of all, it's free porn."
iPinkVisual is updated weekly and offers hundreds of video clips and DVD trailers for both mobile and desktop surfers, with an emphasis on the growing ranks of iPhone users.
"From a video standpoint, the idea behind iPinkVisual was to provide content in a flexible format that can be viewed on any Internet/media device, be it a desktop computer or a cell phone," Blanston said. "The large, high-res screen of the iPhone and iTouch was what drew us to it as a video platform for our HD adult content."
While the experience is tailored for mobile delivery, all users will be able to enjoy the site's hi-def, widescreen videos whether at home or on the road — but it's the mobile user that will enjoy easy online access over Wi-Fi and EDGE networks.
"We immediately saw the potential in using fully functional mobile web browsers to build a bridge between home and mobile content delivery. The site takes advantage of the iPhone's flexible Internet connections," Blanston said. "When a customer is on Wi-Fi, they can enjoy crystal clear, high quality video. When they're on the go, they have access to bandwidth-conscious EDGE speed clips anywhere, anytime."
The new site marks a commitment by the company to the H.264 MPEG-4 standard.
"By using H.264 MPEG-4 files, iPinkVisual provides compressed video that looks great on any fixed or portable media device. During our initial tests, the quality and flexibility of H.264 blew us away," Blanston said. "With the iPhone in so many people's pockets, and the advent of Flash support, we only see good things ahead as we continue to roll out H.264 encoded products."
