Vivid Entertainment Dominates The 2008 AVN Awards

LAS VEGAS — Vivid Entertainment Group was the single biggest winner of the 2008 AVN awards with honors for a variety of movies on Jan. 12 as Adult Video News staged its 25th anniversary awards show at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.

About winning the Overall Marketing/Company Image award, company co-chairman Steven Hirsch said, "We've been pioneering marketing strategies since the day we opened our studio doors in 1984. While we've been repeatedly cited for innovative individual tactics it's particularly rewarding, 24 years later, to still get recognition for the hard work that has helped us to maintain our leadership position." Vivid Director Paul Thomas won an AVN Best Director award for the eighth time in his career, getting the honor for his work on the big budget movie "Layout," which was named Best Film. "Layout" won awards for:
