Hollywood Director Arrested in Child Porn Bust

VAN NUYS, Calif. — Homeland Security agents have arrested a partner and director of CineVision Entertainment on child porn charges.

Anthony Logan was arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents Wednesday at an apartment in Van Nuys after an extensive child pornography sting that originated in Fresno, Calif.

Logan, who directs TV art auction program "Fine Art Treasures," had hundreds of porn images and video files on a laptop and desktop computer, including ones that showed prepubescent children and infants being sexually abused by adults, federal agents said.

ICE spokesman Scott Brown told XBiz that Logan, who was charged with receiving and distributing child pornography over the Internet, will be prosecuted in Fresno and that his case is part of Operation Predator.

Court papers document an extensive ICE investigation that began with a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and subsequently involved the Fresno County Sheriff’s Department.

“Sexual predators — particularly those who prey on infants and children — will not go unpunished for their despicable crimes,” Brown said.

Launched in July 2003, federal authorities working on Operation Predator have arrested more than 5,700 individuals, including nearly 1,500 in California.

The 62-year-old film executive is one of five original targets in probe into a child porn distribution scheme that has turned up leads on more than 120 individuals.

Logan, who is also an Indian shaman, has a 25-year career in radio, television and the movies. He also is an acting coach.

Earlier this year, Logan starred in Fox reality-show “Who’s Your Daddy.”

Since its lauch in 2002, Beverly Hills-based CineVision has co-produced two pilots, “Aim High” and “Spirit Chronicles” and a national television commercial for Healthi Card.

“Fine Art Auctions,” which reaches an international audience of 40 million viewers each week on DirecTV and Dish Network.
