Cam, who founded Titan in 1993, is retiring from adult film to pursue documentary filmmaking.
Shot in high-definition and clocked at more than four hours long, “Breakers” is being released in a 16:9 anamorphic widescreen format, which adjusts the aspect ratio of the DVD to enhance resolution for widescreen TVs. The video showcases the outdoor shooting style and lush exterior shots that Cam is famous for.
“'Breakers' is also the first TitanMen film shot and filmed in full 1080i high-definition and in 16:9 anamorphic widescreen,” Titan Media Vice President Keith Webb told XBIZ.
“The film is cinematic in its scope and feel — it is the finest videography we have ever seen in a gay adult film. We were a little nervous at first that sex in HD would be a little too much, but just the opposite. It looks amazing. For HD you have to start with the very best-looking models, because you cannot hide any flaws from an HD camera,” Webb said.
“Breakers” features an all-star line up of TitanMen exclusives, including TitanMen lifetime exclusive Francois Sagat, as well as TitanMen exclusives Tony Buff, Rick Van Sant, Victor Banda, Eduardo, Diesel Washington, Damien Crosse, Darius Falke, Dillon Buck, Dean Flynn, Alex Baresi, and performers Arpad Miklos and Jackson Wild.
“Bruce will continue to run the day-to-day operation of the company and will continue to executive produce all the Titan and Fresh films,” Webb said.
“Titan is at a point where Bruce can go and make the kind of films that mean something to him and to the community. The documentaries will not be about the industry or Titan, but will focus on more socially relevant topics important to our community. The films will be targeted towards film festival and the new gay cable channels such as LOGO. If any gay adult studio can do cross-over films, it’s Titan,” Webb said.
Cam, who was unavailable for comment due to travel commitments, did say that he is very pleased with his adult cinema swan song.
“This is the film he is most proud of. He is usually happy if we can get 75 percent of what is in his head into the final product, with ‘Breakers’ we has able to get 95 percent-plus of what he wanted to portray into the final film,” Webb said.
