The event, held Dec. 8 at Sin Nightclub (soon to be the Penthouse Club Las Vegas), benefited the Foundation for Positively Kids and the Friends and Family of Incarcerated Parents. VCX contributed mountain bikes, radio-controlled cars, CD players and dolls.
"I think we're going to make some kids very happy this Christmas," VCX President David Sutton said. "Thanks to everyone at VCX who helped in our effort to make every kid in the Vegas Valley have a merry Christmas. We're proud to be associated with the Sin City Chamber of Commerce, without whom none of this would be possible. But it was real hard for me to give up the mountain bike."
The drive collected nearly 1,000 donations from the members of the Sin City Chamber of Commerce.
"It is with great humility that we contribute this collection of toys to two amazing organizations in the Foundation for Positively Kids and the Friends and Family of Incarcerated Parents," said Michael Russell, Sin City Chamber of Commerce executive vice president.
"Each of these organizations works every day to make Las Vegas a better place. Each works tirelessly to provide a better life for needy children, it is an awesome job they do and this is our collective way to say thank you for what you do," he said.
