Astrux is comprised of directors Phil Martin and Lenny Stiltz, who both began directing for Metro last year. In addition to interracial, Latina and a newcomers’ “Who’s Next in Porn?” series, the pair has produced “Up in the Club,” a wall-to-wall line taking place in nightclubs around the country.
“Up in the Club” was shot in a virtual Las Vegas using green screens and on location in L.A. and will next deliver a segment from New York where Laine is set to make her Astrux debut. According to Metro production manager Gustavo Chavarria, “Up in the Club L.A.” included the most expensive girl/girl scene in porn history. He told XBiz that the scene featured a rare Mercedes racing model, only one of which is located in the United States.
“A friend of mine owns it,” Stiltz told XBiz. “We made sure that neither of the girls was wearing buttons on her clothes or high heels. It’s actually a very good car to have sex on.”
“Up in the Club L.A.” also included a non-sex cameo from porn veteran Bill Margold. “He opened the door to the garage in the Mercedes scene,” Stiltz reported.
Astrux will be adding Kelly Kline to its contract collective within the week. Kline will co-direct as well as appear in an upcoming “Up in the Club.”
Stiltz said that Astrux has been shooting one film a week for Metro. Though the companies do not have an exclusive contract, Chavarria said “it has just worked out that they are only shooting for us, out of loyalty.”
The Astrux partners were advertisers and independent film producers prior to their foray into adult, Stiltz told XBiz, and made the switch “because the money is better.”
