LoveHoney's Ruth Wilkinson told XBIZ that the company's directors, Neal Slateford and Richard Longhurst, had been keeping their eyes out for the Sanrio vibrators after receiving a slew of requests from customers who had seen pictures of them on Hello Kitty fansites.
As soon as they found them reissued on the market, she said, LoveHoney tracked them down, and the toys already are in very high demand.
"They are the perfect toys for LoveHoney," Wilkinson said. "Girly, cute, collectable and fun."
The toys reportedly were sold as muscle massagers, but female users discovered they served other functions.
The Hello Kitty Shoulder Massager features a kitty on top of a rocket-style vibe and comes in pink, lilac, red and black.
The Hello Kitty Keychain Massager is a pocket-sized vibe featuring a kitty in a "kirgurumi" horse costume with seven massage nodules on the base, as well as vibrating ears and nose.
Licensed by Sanrio and sold as shoulder and keychain massagers, the two toys offer a single vibration speed.
