Topco Hires Regulatory Specialist, Art Director

CHATSWORTH, Calif. — Adult novelty manufacturer Topco Sales has made two significant hires — regulatory specialist and art director — adding to its employee roster.

Regulatory Specialist Lorelei Chavez is now working with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to ensure all Topco products meet global quality and health standards and are safe and effective to use.

Marianne Lovett is now the company's art director and will use her 20 years of adult industry experience to help Topco create a new look for the novelty company. The former VCA art director will debut her talent with the 2008 release of Topco's Super Catalog.

"We are redefining passion and taking a new approach to the image of Topco Sales as we prepare to celebrate 35 years in business," Lovett said.

In 2006, Topco registered with the FDA as an over-the-counter drug-manufacturing site, and a year later also registered to manufacture medical devices.

"It is exciting to be a part of the Topco Sales Cosmetics Research and Development Department and so far am impressed with the care and expertise I've seen in everything they do," Chavez said.

Topco's Timothy Crawford, technical director of drugs, nutrition and cosmetics, said he is confident her knowledge and abilities will help Topco excel.

"With her extensive experience in domestic and international regulatory issues we have turned a winning team into championship material," Crawford said.

Topco CEO Scott Tucker said he realizes the need to have qualified professionals on staff in the ever-evolving world of adult novelty production and acted accordingly by hiring Chavez.

"We are also dedicated to meeting the heightened standards of Europe and Asia, and all this has exponentially increased the duties of the regulatory department as we continue to be a leader in the novelty industry," Tucker said.
