Two Vivid Girls, Monique Alexander and Savanna Samson, will vie for Female Performer of the Year, one of the top awards.
"Layout," a big-budget film released in April, received a total of 20 nominations. Its star, Vivid Girl Briana Banks, will be up for Best Actress in a Film and its director Paul Thomas for Best Director Film. He also is up for Best Director Body of Work, a new category. Winning either would mean his eighth Best Director award.
"Debbie Does Dallas...Again," another big-budget Vivid film and the subject of a Showtime TV series, received 16 nominations. Its star, Stefani Morgan, was nominated for Best Actress Film for her role as well as a Best Couples Sex Scene nomination for her performance with Derrick Pierce. Alexander also is nominated for Best Supporting Actress Film for her role in the movie.
"Janine Loves Jenna," a coproduction with Club Jenna starring Jenna Jameson, also received 16 nominations, including Best Actress Video for Jameson, Best Supporting Actress, Video for Janine as well as Best All-Girl Sex Scene and Best Couples scene.
Other Vivid movies receiving multiple nominations included "Sex & Violins," "Flasher," "American Dream," "Where the Boys Aren't 18" and "Stood Up." "Fashion Underground," a coproduction with Teravision, received eight nominations.
The new Vivid-Ed series directed by Tristan Taormino received two nominations, while "Chemistry 3," the third volume in her award winning series, also earned two nominations for Best Director Non Feature and Best Gonzo Series.
Eon McKai received a nomination for Best Director Non-Feature for "Girls Lie" and Charlotte Stokely was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for the same movie. They were among 13 nominations for various Vivid-Alt imprint releases.
Vivid Girl Tera Patrick, who will be the host of the award ceremonies, was nominated for the Jenna Jameson Crossover Star of the Year award, as was Samson, who also is up for Best Actress Video for her work as the star of "Stood Up."
