Doc Johnson director of product development and licensing Chad Braverman told XBIZ that the company began developing the Bonez line six months ago after receiving several customer requests for harder toys.
"The idea sparked from requests from the overseas market," Braverman said. "They're very tough, very durable items — you can't bend them."
Making products from material this hard, Braverman said, is much more difficult than using traditional silicone or plastic because of the higher risk of error, and after several trips to the drawing board the final line of two dildos and two anal plugs made of black TPR rubber was perfected.
"To our knowledge, there is nothing else like them presently available in terms of durability," Braverman said.
The phthalate-free Bonez line includes two 4-inch plugs and a 7-1/2-inch dildo and graduated double-sided dong.
Braverman said Bonez are ideal for customers looking for a tough and hard alternative to plastic.
