LifeChurch.tv claims that approximately 21,000 viewers are members of the church, reached via satellite TV on 12 college campuses across the U.S.
LifeChurch.tv spokesperson Katie Moore said the theme of Sunday's sermon is “The Elephant in the Pew,” a discussion about pornography use in America, what the church calls a “devastating problem.”
“We recognize that porn is a big problem on a national level and is something the church needs to address because it affects everyone,” Moore said.
On its website, XXXChurch.com said 50 percent of Christian men are addicted to porn and 20 percent of Christian women have a problem with it.
XXXChurch.com is an online ministry focused on the issue of “porn addiction.” The online church offers a “30 Days to Purity” program, hands out bibles at adult industry shows and offers porn tracking software.
LifeChurch.tv also is an online ministry that utilizes a satellite network to reach its members. On their website, they offer a “live interactive worship experience, video streaming, live chat and live prayer.”
National Porn Sunday was created by Gross. The live broadcast sermon will be staged at Palm Beach Central High School, in Wellington, Fla., at 9:30 EDT.
