Reid and a second suspect, WSU student Kyle Schott, are accused of attacking a woman at the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority house on Sept. 13. Schott was apprehended Friday and posted bail Monday night. The pair also is suspected of two other sorority house burglaries. A woman who was sleeping in the house told police she awoke as two men sexually assaulted her.
Police Cmdr. Chris Tennant said that the assault did not involve intercourse, and the men fled when the woman woke up.
Reid is facing charges of 2nd degree rape, 1st degree burglary, two counts of residential burglary, and one count of attempted burglary. Bond has been set at $200,000.
Reid told a KXLY-TV reporter that he was too drunk to remember what happened on the night in question, adding that as a porn star who gets paid to have sex on camera, he had no need to rape anyone.
A source told XBIZ that Reid was in Pullman on vacation.
Chris Bugbee, Reid’s lawyer, asserts that his client is innocent of the allegations. Reid plans to turn himself into police today.
“My client maintains his innocence,” Bugbee told XBIZ. “These allegations are false and ultimately that will be the case. He’s going to turn himself in and he has nothing to hide.”
Bugbee said that he would be issuing a statement to the press later today.
