“We're familiar with their product, because we already distribute the VooDoo House and Bone Digital lines from the same company,” Shane’s World VP of Sales Megan Stokes told XBIZ. "When the opportunity of taking over Freaky Deaky's distribution came up, I watched a bunch of them, and they're lot of fun. And we like fun stuff."
Freaky Deaky’s first release through Shane’s World will be "Frat House Fuckfest No. 7: Halloween Edition," which will street Oct. 9. The video is set in a party at the PYZ frat house, described as "a Halloween ho-down."
"Basically, our plan is over the next year to corner the market on the reality and amateur niches," Stokes said. "We're not hiding what we're doing. We know that's what we excel at, and that's what people expect from us. When buyers decide they want a reality wall, we're their one-stop shop. The Shane's World videos are practically documentary now.
"I think the reason fans like reality is because people like a contextual situation. We want to cover all the niches in the reality market, including documentary, reality, amateur and pro-am. That's where we want to be. It's what we do well, and we enjoy doing it."
