The 22-year-old director began his career at Extreme Associates in the editing bay, and then moved to Diabolic where he stayed for more than two years producing 25-plus movies for the hardcore studio. When Anabolic and Diabolic announced their split in May, Ricky D moved to Anabolic.
At Diabolic, Ricky D helmed the “Hot Sauce,” “Ass For Days” and “2 On 1” lines.
Ricky D told XBIZ that while his split with Anabolic wasn’t exactly amicable, he was looking forward to new, challenging projects. He said the decision to leave Anabolic was his, not the company’s.
“I felt like it was time for me to move on from the Anabolic world,” Ricky D said. “I’m trying out the free agency game and looking over some deals that have been sent my way and accepting any others that are proposed. There are few directors out there that do both the photography and editing for each movie they direct and shoot, so I may move toward the Internet side since I have experience in that side as well.”
Among Ricky D's upcoming projects is the launch of Kayden420.com, which is part of the soon-to-be released HypeDough.com affiliate program.
“Kayden420.com is a site I’m working on featuring content of girls who love pot,” Ricky D said. It’s going to be very Suicide Girls-like — alt-looking girls with tattoos and piercings. The HypeDough.com is coming soon and we’re going to be building out more sites to go along with it.”
