Eddie's Kids is a charitable foundation founded by Goalie Entertainment owner Eddie Wedelstedt that has sent 75,000 children to NBA games, NHL games, North American Soccer League, lacrosse and university games in Los Angeles, Denver and Phoenix. Most kids get tickets as a reward for academic achievement or outstanding community involvement, and every kid takes at least one family member. A crucial aspect of the Eddie's Kids program is giving the kids the chance to reconnect with the people most important to them.
"We've got some incredible sporting goods artifacts from the NBA, the NFL and the NHL, plus gift certificates to restaurants and spa packages," Eddie's Kids representative Beverly W told XBIZ. "We'll also be auctioning off a 1989 Jaguar, a 12-cylinder with only 20,000 miles on it.
"We're very proud that 95 percent of the Eddie's Kids money is funded by the adult industry," she added.
The event is being held the day before the Free Speech Coalition's Red White and Blue Bash at Universal Studios.
Attendees should RSVP by Sept. 24 to Beverly W at (303) 570-2051.
