Bare Bowling Brings the Heat

SAN FERNANDO VALLEY, Calif. — Despite triple-digit temperatures, adult personalities and fans showed up for Bare Bowling, the annual fundraiser to benefit nonprofit organization Protecting Adult Welfare.

As a bevy of adult starlets stripped down to their bowling shoes and took over the lanes of an undisclosed Valley bowling alley, throngs of camera-wielding fans took advantage of many photo opportunities presented by the one-of-a-kind event.

“They cranked up the heat and it’s getting hot,” P.A.W. founder and former performer Bill Margold said. “Hotter than usual for any number of reasons.”

In the hot, humid weather, getting naked seemed like the logical alternative, especially for starlet Sunny Lane, who wore a pretty yellow sundress, but was topless before too long. It was Lane’s second year at the event.

“I love the bowling event and to support P.A.W. — to show the industry does have a heart and we give back to our own people,” Lane told XBIZ.

She mentioned also that she was going home after bowling, to get some rest and get ready for a live appearance on CNN Headline News, to be broadcast at 2 p.m. PDT on Labor Day.

Lane joined Team Kick Ass on lane #1, where Kick Ass Pictures director raVen and performers Misti Love and Miss Kitty bowled against the team from Light House Talent Agency.

According to raVen, the team had been training diligently all week, under sweltering conditions that saw the girls from Kick Ass jogging around the studio’s San Fernando Valley location clad only in g-strings and Kick Ass T-shirts.

“Team Kick Ass masturbated to several movies featuring Trina Michaels last night, to take the pressure off before the event,” raVen said, adding that he gets a dollar every time he mentions Michaels in the press.

Miss Kitty was a favorite with fans and photographers wearing her bowling shoes and nothing else.

Kris Kloss, former announcer for MTV’s “Wrestling Society X” also joined the Kick Ass team to keep score and help the girls with their balls.

Lighthouse’s Terry told XBIZ, “We’re happy to have the girls here for a good cause. We love Papa Bear [Margold]. He and [owner of Lighthouse] Seymore go way back, so we would do anything to support P.A.W.”

Lighthouse model Mindy Main posed for pictures with her bowling ball and SexZ Pictures director Tee Reel, who spoke to XBIZ about his upcoming feature release titled “Get Reel.”

“I haven’t been this excited about a new release in a long time,” Reel said. “It’s the first interracial action film and all the sex is really strong. It has a great story and choreographed fight sequences, so it’s something different.”

Still in post production, “Get Reel” stars Reel, Ryder Skye, Brooke Scott, Natasha Nice, Fayth DeLuca, Adrennaline, Demonico, Nat Turner and Jon-Jon.

SexZ Pictures’ exclusive contract star Paulina James also showed up long enough to pose for the paparazzi and throw a few balls.

Former performer-turned-mainstream director Ron Hightower also was seen hanging out with the Kick Ass and Lighthouse crews.

The evening brought out classic stars like Cara Lott and Anita Cannibal, as well as several newbie performers looking to make the transition between exotic dancing and adult.

Fresh from the Exotic Dancer Gentleman’s Club Expo, dancer Destiny B. Wilde caused a big commotion with the bowling event crowd as she strutted her stuff on lane #17 with starlets Kylie Worthy and Emma Cummings.

Later, Wilde did a few lap dances for fans in a booth set up by Adult Industry News’ Steve Nelson.

ScorchingImages.com’s Dave Michaels, who co-sponsored the event, said he was impressed with the turnout, especially given the climate conditions and holiday weekend.

“I’m extremely gratified with the turnout,” Margold said as bowling wrapped up at around 10:30 p.m. “It was a great event that brought together veteran talent and new talent that you might not know now, but five years from now could become the stars of the future.”

P.A.W. is operated by Margold as a resource directory for adult industry members, as well as peer-counseling and can be reached at (818) 501-6139.
