Vivid Girl, slated to debut in the summer, will offer a complete line of makeup and skincare products, including luxury lipsticks, super glosses, blushers, eye products and air brush foundation kits.
The cosmetics will be sold online and at boutiques nationwide.
The WII Group, which also owns X-Girl Cosmetics, is helmed by Tonia Ryan, who is working with graphic artists to design packaging for the new line that will feature the Vivid logo and images of the Vivid Girls on the products, catalogues, retail displays, posters and Vivid Girl Cosmetics and X-Girl Cosmetics websites.
Ryan is no stranger to the adult entertainment industry. The spokesmodel/webmaster/entrepreneur has been featured on the Playboy Channel and the “Howard Stern Show.” She also hosts a regional TV program in Florida called “Wildlife.” She’s also an author and professional poker player.
Vivid Entertainment Group has been busy signing one licensing deal after another in recent months.
Earlier this year, Van Nuys, Calif.-based Vivid signed a licensing agreement with Ark Restaurants Corp. to open the Vivid nightclub at The Venetian Resort Hotel Casino in Las Vegas.
It recently made a bold move into the apparel business with cross-promotions with Ecko Jeans and Pony shoes. It also entered into the sex-toy business with Los Angeles-based Phallix Inc. The sex toys include dildos endorsed by Vivid performers Briana Banks, Savanna Samson, Sunrise Adams and Mercedez, as well as Dasha and Kira Kener.
In the last few years, the adult entertainment company has dabbled in book publishing, and has signed licensing deals for virility supplements, condoms, snowboards, calendars and comic book products.
Steve Hirsch and David James, who together started the company in 1984, control Vivid. In 2003, Vivid had an estimated $150 million in revenue.
