Brad Marks, president of Adultcon parent company Adult Industry Entertainment, told XBiz that AdultconLV will coincide with the SEMA Show, an automotive trade event held at the Las Vegas Convention Center that draws upwards of 165,000 mostly male attendees.
Marks said dozens of established adult film stars and fresh-faced newcomers will be on hand to autograph posters, take pictures with fans, promote their latest DVDs and provide impromptu entertainment.
“Adultcon was founded on the belief that adult entertainers should have an affordable place to sell their products,” Marks told XBiz, adding that he was thankful to adult companies for making their products available to performers at discounted rates for resale at the show.
“It’s a great way for the companies to promote their brand names and reach new customers without buying a booth.”
A 10x10 booth costs $400 for talent, and the price includes three nights hotel accommodations.
“Girls can even split a booth with a friend,” Marks added.
Adult toy companies, movie studios and distributors also will be exhibiting their wares. Booth space for companies starts at $1,000 or $1,300 with three nights hotel included.
During the show, fans will have opportunities to win a day on a porn shoot as well as free sex at the Bunny Ranch, a brothel about 20 minutes outside Las Vegas.
AdultconLV is open to the public. Ticket prices for the two-day event are $40 per person and include a collectible Adultcon 9 calendar and a $5 casino chip to spend as cash toward any merchandise offered on the show floor.
Adult Industry Entertainment will continue to run two shows annually in Los Angeles.
The company made headlines earlier this year when it purchased a 60x20 billboard on the 710 freeway featuring performer Jordan Styles to promote its upcoming Adultcon 8, which will take place May 1 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
