Friedlander passed away at his home in New Orleans Aug. 4. He is survived by his wife, son and two daughters.
The larger-than-life industry veteran began his adult career in 1978 in collections at Marlan Distributors, eventually moving into sales. He founded New Beginnings and served as FSC president for six years.
A passionate advocate of free speech, New Beginnings has requested that funds be donated to the FSC, which will be put in the Lenny Friedlander Memorial Fund. A note to his family as well as a note of receipt to the individual or company making the donation will acknowledge contributions to the fund.
A funeral service for Friedlander took place Wednesday at Greenwood Cemetary in New Orleans. Plans for a memorial service in California were incomplete as of press time.
