Services Held for Flava Works VP Dekenric Wiley

MIAMI — A memorial service celebrating the life of Flava Works Vice President Dekenric Wiley will be held Friday in Miami. Wiley, whose death was announced on July 14, passed away from pneumonia, which was a result of sickle cell anemia according to a Flava Works press release. He was 32 years old.

Details of the announcement can be viewed at the production company’s website, as well as photos of Wiley and a thread of posted comments from friends and associates. A special memorial splash page has been posted at all of Flava Works’ various sites, including CocoBoyz.com and FlavaMen.com.

“Dekenric was the sun that brightened the day and kept the Flava Works family together during difficult times,” Flava Works Founder Phillip Bleicher said.

“We will truly miss his unselfishness and generous personality he shared with us all. We mourn with you a great friend and a great leader. Our condolences go to his family and friends and everyone Dekenric touched. It's a huge loss for the Flava Works family. His legacy and memory will stay with us forever,” Bleicher said.

A private memorial also will be held in Dallas, Texas. Cards and flowers can be sent to 2610 North Miami Ave., Miami, FL, 33127.
