The new program hosts six fan sites for models from their COLT, Buckshot and Olympus lines. The performers featured currently include Carlo Massi, Adam Champ, Gage Weston, Luke Garrett, Skye Woods and Dean Phoenix. Next month, COLT will add Mitch Branson, Darin Hawk and Roland Dane to the roster.
“There have been so many webmasters asking for affiliate programs for these fan sites,” COLT Director of Online Marketing Sean O’Brien told XBIZ. “We’ve launched our COLTCash program and we’re starting with just our fan sites.”
The new sites include interactive features like message boards, forums, streaming movie content, as well as high-quality photo galleries and advanced navigation tools. Members also can access live, streaming webcam shows with audio and archived webcam content.
“The Internet is all about interaction and I think that’s the future. People want to touch base and they want to talk to their fans,” O’Brien said. “The fan sites are really for the fans of these guys. We rolled them out and we did it rather quietly because we wanted to make sure everything was going right. The response has been amazing. The fans really have a lot of fun on them and they enjoy that kind of connection they can have with our stars.”
In the fall, O’Brien is anticipating the relaunch of COLTStudioGroup.com, the official website of the studio. He said that interactivity will play a large role in bringing the main website up-to-date. It also will be offered under the umbrella of COLTCash.com.
“The one thing that’s going to be really different about it is we’re going to take this whole interactivity that we have with our fan sites and we’re just going to blow it out of the water,” O’Brien said. “It’s going to be unlike any other site, where you can really interact. We’ve got 40 years of photo galleries that we’re going to have on there, really top-notch gallery tours that we’ll be using, and we’ll have the streaming, pay-per-view movies.
“We’re using really fresh technology,” he said. “Not only are we going to have all the hot stuff you would expect from COLT, but also it’s going to be a fantastic user experience. That’s so important, that it’s user-friendly.”
