"Next to having a billboard on Sunset as a Vivid girl, this is the absolute top of my list," Canyon told XBIZ. "It shows that I've sustained a longevity in the adult business, and that adult has gone so mainstream. My hands in cement — I don't know what the next utopia is after this."
Canyon first signed as a contract performer with Vivid Entertainment in 1984, retired, then re-signed with Vivid in 1990 before retiring in 1997. She performed as a feature dancer from 1991 to 2000 before writing her autobiography, "Lights, Camera, Sex!" which she self-published in 2003. She currently is co-hosting "Night Calls" with Ginger Lynn on Playboy Radio on Sirius satellite radio.
Thomas entered the adult industry in 1974 after working as an actor in mainstream. He appeared in more than 400 adult productions and directed more than 250 adult films and videos, including "Justine," "Bad Wives," the 2004 "New Devil in Miss Jones," and "Portrait of Christy" featuring Christy Canyon.
Hustler founder Larry Flynt will be in attendance at the ceremony, along with Hustler Honeys and other invited guests. The event is open to the public.
“We’re proud to recognize both of these film legends and immortalize them in the Hustler Hollywood Walk of Fame,” Flynt said.
The Walk of Fame opened in 1998 in front of the Hustler Hollywood store to serve as a lasting tribute to the legends of the adult industry. It currently includes the handprints and signatures of Larry Flynt, Jenna Jameson, Ron Jeremy, Herschel Savage, Sunset Thomas, Al Goldstein and many others.
The Hustler Hollywood store is at 8920 Sunset Blvd.
