As film festival partners, both will have access to additional markets and resources to help promote erotica filmmaking.
The partnership offers co-sponsored showcases, with CineKink NYC selections to be featured in LAEFF. Original shorts from LAEFF also will be screened at Cinekink NYC, offering additional exposure to all works submitted.
"Having CineKink involved with the festival is really wonderful," XFANZ Managing Director Alan Hawkins said. "I look forward to a long relationship with them and hope that we both can help introduce new and different erotic films to the world. And because CineKink is one of the oldest and most well-established erotica film fests in the world we are already on the right track."
"I'm delighted CineKink will be working with XFANZ to showcase filmmakers that boldly take on sex and sexuality as their subject," CineKink Co-Founder and Director Lisa Vandever said. "It's been exciting to see the boundaries between the different film worlds begin to merge over the past couple of years and XFANZ’s Erotica Film Festival is a very welcome new ally in encouraging this development."
The CineKink organization recognizes and encourages the positive depiction of alternative sexuality in film and TV, most visibly through its annual film festival, CineKink NYC, touted as "the really alternative film festival."
CineKink NYC, now in its fourth season, includes a short film competition, audience choice awards, presentations, parties and a gala kickoff fundraiser. Works presented at CineKink NYC "range from documentary to drama, camp comedy to hot porn, mildly spicy to quite explicit — and everything in between."
