London-based Harmony will bring an edgy brand of brand of adult stateside with the spring releases of “Hotel Hyde” and “Cabaret Bizarre,” as well as the “Slam It” series and new “Fuck Me” line, featuring Belladonna. Harmony currently distributes Evil Angel products in the United Kingdom.
Evil Angel General Manager Chris Norton told XBiz that his company will distribute additional Harmony releases on a per-title basis only after they have been reviewed and approved by company founder John Stagliano. While titles will be sold under the Harmony brand name, they also will carry an Evil Angel’s stamp.
“Harmony has a unique product with a lovely flavor,” Norton said. “It doesn’t quite match what any of our directors are doing, which is a good thing.”
As Harmony’s head of film production, Gazzman will direct eight titles a year and oversee 16 others. The AVN Best Foreign Director winner is best known for his work on Private's “Scottish Loveknot,” a hardcore tribute to “Braveheart.”
In keeping with Gazzman’s penchant for choosing exotic locales, “Loveknot” was filmed in a 15th-century castle that once belonged to the real-life Braveheart, Sir William Wallace.
While Gazzman will continue to make high-quality, full-length features, he said fans can expect something harder and more raw from his work with Harmony.
“Features are great, but nothing beats shooting a bunch of hot, nasty girls in balls-to-the-wall hardcore,” Gazzman said.
