The agreement between LA Direct and Creative Image will allow the adult talent agency to capitalize on Creative Image’s mainstream connections and place its performers in work outside the adult industry, LA Direct’s Mike Moz told XBiz.
“We try to explore every avenue possible to find work for our talent,” said LA Direct owner Derek Hay. “As adult entertainment becomes ever more assimilated into the mainstream, the softer markets grow in importance and accessibility to those of us that generally work in the XXX world.”
Creative Image, which specializes in late-night cable television programming, is helmed by Robert Lombard, a veteran producer and casting director with over 75 film credits to his name and several awards, including one for his work on Van Halen’s “Jump” video in 1984.
Originally a casting agent with a B-movie stable, when the talent pool began to dry up, Lombard turned to the adult industry for actors.
Creative Image’s clients have now appeared on “Baywatch,” “Days Of Our Lives” and several other mainstream television series and films.
“Robert Lombard is a long standing and highly respected producer in the softcore market,” Kay said.
“We are confident that inking this deal with Creative Image Management will assist to broaden the choices for us in placing our talent and significantly deepen the talent pool for Robert and his cable network clients in their casting choices,” he added.
