The star of “1 Night in Paris,” which has sold more than 380,000 copies in just three months, is apparently scouting branding opportunities and considering to put her stamp on everything from body oil to prepaid calling cards to cosmetics to shot glasses.
The filing with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office was submitted in late July on her behalf by the Los Angeles law firm Jeffer, Mangels, Butler and Marmaro. The trademark requests face a pending review by government examiners.
News of the trademark application comes after an announcement that the hotel heiress is publishing a 198-page memoir, "Confessions of an Heiress: A Tongue-in-Chic Peek Behind the Pose.” Fireside, her publisher, says the book will be out on the shelves Sept. 7.
In other Hilton news, the New York Post reports that 30-year-old Simon Rex —who acted in a string of gay porn videos and had a stint a one-time MTV video jockey — has become her boyfriend. The pair was reportedly spotted dancing at Miami's Mansion club, site of this month’s GigaCash party EroticaFest.
