Hilton, who has reached the pinnacle of celebrity status based on numerous high profile tabloid gaffs, party-hopping, promiscuity, modeling stints, product endorsements, and a reality-based television show, is set to scribe a 198-page memoir on her life, family, and experiences as a jet-set socialite.
Hilton most recently made headline news around the world after she lost and then found her teacup Chihuahua. She was also the subject of a paparazzi blitz when she was photographed with bruised arms after a domestic dispute with former boyfriend Nick Carter.
Titled, "Confessions of an Heiress: A Tongue-in-Chic Peek Behind the Pose," Hilton claims she lived a sheltered upbringing as the great-granddaughter of hotel baron Conrad Hilton
"The rumor is that I got a credit card at age 9, which is ridiculous," Hilton writes in an excerpt. "It was more like 19, and I had to get one myself without my parents."
Hilton's book joins rank with other high-profile celebrities who have recently made their own literary debuts, including porn legend Jenna Jameson and "Baywatch" star Pamela Anderson.
"Confessions of an Heiress" is scheduled to hit bookstore shelves on Sept. 7.
"I don't always want the glamorous, jet-set life," Hilton writes. "Let's face it, I've done it. Someday soon, I want to have children and a big house with a lot of animals -- like my parents had. Trust me, people act differently to you when you've got jewelry on your head."
