Zetago Search Engine Welcomes Adult Webmasters

TORONTO – Adult search engine Zetago entered the application phase Monday, welcoming all adult webmasters to submit their company information for the engine's October launch.

A division of Toronto-based Tysus Media Corp., Zetago is a free service to adult webmasters that aims to provide search tools and listings that some of the more prominent search engines like Google and Booble have not consistently delivered to the adult content market.

"Our goal was to create an adult search engine that benefited both surfer and webmaster alike," said Stephan Cam, president and co-founder of Zetago. "Zetago allows surfers to search in a clean, device free environment while offering webmasters an advanced solution to listing and listing management."

Cam and his partner, Bruno MacKay, both programmers, first toyed around with building a gaming site before coming up with the idea of a pure play search engine more specifically tailored for adult entertainment sites.

In response to complaints heard over the years from fellow webmasters, Cam and his team took the past year to develop an algorithm-based search tool that doesn't come bundled with other adult products, resellers, and services, but strictly features content sites.

The site's purpose is to offer webmasters a "hassle-free" search where they can get directly to the content they want, while also providing editable, comprehensive listings to webmasters.

However, Cam added, the success of the site is based on webmaster signups, which he is anticipating will reach 5,000 by the time the search tool launches in October.

In addition, each site is manually approved by the Zetago staff, based on the overall quality of the site, the design, site navigation, and actual content, which coupled with numerous other factors within the algorithm determine a sites' overall ranking score.

"What's more, our listing policies and manual approval process ensure that quality adult websites aren't lost in a sea of cyber-junk," Cam said. "We hope Zetago ushers in a new level of trust to surfers and brings webmasters greater visibility, traffic and conversions."

Zetago will generate revenue through the use of Zetabubbles, paid advertising spots that will appear on the right side of the results page, similar to the highly profitable Ad Words system that has pushed Google to the forefront of the paid search advertising market.

Cam told XBiz that the first leg of Zetago's marketing campaign will target colleges and university-based websites before moving on to encompass a larger consumer target zone.
