Pineapple Support CEO to Advocate for Mental Health at LALExpo

LOS ANGELES — Pineapple Support founder and CEO Leya Tanit will speak about the importance of mental health support in adult entertainment during various panels and discussions held at LALExpo in Cali, Colombia, Feb. 23-26.

The conversations will be panels and discussions hosted by CAM4, Streamate, and WebCam Lab to "address key mental health challenges in the adult industry, including burnout, online harassment, and stigma," said a rep. "The discussions will focus on practical strategies for fostering a safer, more inclusive work environment for performers, studios, and platforms."

Tanit expressed her thoughts on why mental health support is so important today.

“The adult industry continues to be affected by stigma and misinformation, but we are seeing a strong and growing movement to support the well-being of performers and industry professionals,” she said. “Recent reports from organizations like Human Rights Watch emphasize the need for comprehensive mental health support and fair treatment. Our goal is to ensure that no one in this industry feels isolated or without access to resources.”

While attending LALExpo, Tanit will also take part in Pineapple Support’s ‘Spill the Tea’ event in Colombia, an informal gathering designed to connect with attending models, hear their experiences, and discuss the challenges they face.

"These conversations will help inform future initiatives aimed at providing targeted mental health resources for the Colombian adult industry," the rep continued.

Added Tanit, “Industry events like LALExpo allow us to directly engage with the people we serve, understand their challenges, and ensure that the mental health support we provide continues to meet their needs. The demand is great, and we need more partners to ensure that everyone in this industry has access to the care they deserve.”
