KYIV, Ukraine — Ukrainian performer Josephine Jackson has completed a charity calendar photo shoot with soldiers who have been fighting in the ongoing war, which started when Russia invaded the country in February 2022.
The calendar, shot by local photographer Bohdan Pysarenko, will feature members of Ukraine’s armed forces in formal wear, in a luxurious setting alongside Jackson, one of the country’s best known adult performers.
Wearing several different gowns, Jackson posed with individuals and groups of soldiers, some of them disabled during the conflict. She announced the shoot through social media last week.
On Tuesday, Jackson posted a BTS video on one of her Instagram accounts, writing in Ukrainian, “I really want to show you the results of our shoot… but for now you can catch a little more BTS.”
Jackson added, “I can’t get enough of our Heroes. Some of them don’t even remember the last time they wore a suit, and some hadn’t even worn one ever… So very happy that we were able to bring such positive vibes and fond memories to them.”
Jackson directed fans to a link in her profile bio, to donate funds to help vets get prosthetics and treatment.
