BERLIN — Rocco Siffredi’s fictionalized biographical Netflix series, “Supersex,” premiered Thursday at the 74th Berlin International Film Festival, also known as the Berlinale.
"I cried a lot," Siffredi told Reuters.
“The actors were fantastic, they put their hearts into this story, without judging, without criticism, with heart, passion and a lot of love, to tell the life story of someone who has loved his job very much and who loves women very much,” the internationally renowned adult star added.
As XBIZ reported, award-winning actor Alessandro Borghi plays Siffredi in the fictionalized — or “freely inspired,” according to Netflix — version of the veteran adult performer’s life story.
The trailer unveiled last month showcases several action-movie-style scenes, as the voiceover intones, “Every power is an enigma. It can give you light, or throw you into darkness. But every existence lived to its fullest always has a price to pay.”
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the show will tell “the soup-to-nuts story of Rocco from his childhood and family origins through his relationship with love that led him to pursue a career in porn.”
Siffredi told XBIZ, “I am thrilled to see the excitement and drama of this fictionalized version of my life come to life. The people at Netflix and everyone behind this amazing production have really outdone themselves.”
Jasmine Trinca co-stars as Lucia, “a fictional female character who represents a synthesis of many of the women Rocco had relationships with in real life,” the Hollywood Reporter noted.
The cast includes Adriano Giannini (Tommaso, Rocco’s half-brother), Saul Nanni (young Rocco), Enrico Borello (Gabriele), Vincenzo Nemolato (Riccardo Schicchi), Gaia Messerklinger (Moana), Jade Pedri (Sylvie) and Linda Caridi (Tina).
“Supersex” was created and written by Francesca Manieri, Lorenzo Mieli and Matteo Rovere. The seven-part series will debut on Netflix worldwide March 6.
