NEW YORK — The Cutting Room will host a 50th anniversary screening of “The Devil in Miss Jones,” on October 31 at 6 p.m. (EDT).
The new 4K restoration of the film will be presented by writer / director Gerard Damiano’s son and daughter, Gerard Jr. and Christar. The event will also feature a costume contest and 1970’s-themed dance party.
“Our father will always be known for ‘Deep Throat,’ but he went on to make much better films,” Damiano Jr. said. “He would rather be remembered for his later work, particularly ‘The Devil in Miss Jones.’ He was very proud of that, especially the performance by Georgina Spelvin.”
