DELHI, India — Besharam recently commemorated its 10th anniversary by holding a “grand celebration” team holiday in Singapore.
The event brought together the brand's creator partners, employees and industry peers from retailer The Sangya Project and pleasure brand Sassiest, to mark a decade of pursuing its mission: normalizing sexual wellness and pleasure in India.
“From struggling to find acceptance among Indians in its initial years to rising as India's leading adult store, Besharam’s journey has been nothing less than riding a roller coaster of fun, laughter and empowerment,” a rep noted. “And this team vacation truly captured the brand's essence: quirky, playful and always up for a good time.”
The Besharam team hosted Indian creators and influencers educating on sexual wellness and LGBTQ+ rights, including Pallavi Barnwal, Khushboo Bistt, Kajol Tyag and lesbian couple Nikita and Sayantika. Digichef founder Deep Mehta was also in attendance.
The event also celebrated the unveiling of pioneering made-in-India vibrator Sangya 1.
“This groundbreaking achievement highlights the collaborative effort of Besharam and the Sangya Project towards the shared vision of pushing limits and advancing the conversation around sexual wellness,” the rep added.
The Singapore event, the rep concluded, "wasn't just a celebration of the past: it was a sneak peek into the future. Besharam’s commitment to breaking down walls, shredding taboos and shouting from the rooftops that sexual wellness is nothing to be ashamed of is as strong as ever.”
