LOS ANGELES — Alpha Studio Group brands Next Door Films and Disruptive Films have teamed up for a two-scene limited series collaboration, titled "Divergence."
The Next Door and Disruptive scenes, directed by Michael Vegas and Siouxsie Q, respectively, both star Derek Kage and Trevor Harris.
"The stories start the same, as sexy Podcaster (Kage) meets cute delivery driver (Harris), but the two films go wildly different directions from there," said a rep. "Next Door Films builds an awkward romance, while Disruptive Films goes a much “darker” direction. Same cast for both, but two very different stories and scenes."
Alpha CCO Jeremy Babcock enthused about the series' premise.
"We thought it would be really fun to start a common story, and then have the different stories expand, being true to both brands," he said. "It was a really fun project to bring the two brands together for this, and I hope members will enjoy watching the two stories play out so differently."
Harris echoed Babcock's praise.
"Playing a character with two different sides was unique, but having directors Michael Vegas and Siouxsie Q there giving their own perspective on the script really helped me get into it! Cannot wait for you guys to see this one," he said.
Part one of "Divergence" is streaming on NextDoorStudios; Part two drops July 14 on DisruptiveFilms.
