BERLIN — We-Vibe has released the results of a study it conducted on the impact of pleasure products on relationships.
"Our vision is to enrich the sex lives of couples," said sexologist Elisabeth Neumann, head of user research at We-Vibe. "We want to inspire people to try new things, be adventurous and talk to each other about it. The success of the products and our customers’ feedback show that sex toys help couples rediscover their intimacy, communicate needs more openly and be at ease about their sexuality."
According to the company, nearly half of participants — 46% — said that communication had improved since introducing couples vibrators to their relationships.
Almost three-quarters of European couples — 72% — reported that fun during sex had increased with the use of couples vibrators, 53% of users claimed more frequent or more intense orgasms, and 44% said they felt closer to their partners.
In the LGBTQ+ community, 43% of respondents said the We-Vibe app, which allows one partner to control the vibrator for the other from a distance, had improved their sex life when they could not be physically near each other.
"Experimenting with sex toys stimulates the imagination and lets couples talk more openly about their preferences," Neumann added. "We are particularly pleased that more than a third of the participants report that their communication in the partnership has improved. A sex toy doesn't even have to be used for that, but it's often a good start for talking about desires and preferences."
